Title VI - Non-Discrimination Plan
At the May 29, 2014 meeting the village council adopted the Title VI Non-Discrimination Plan.

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C. 200d), related statutes and regulations provide that no person shall on the ground of race, color, national origin, gender, or disabilities be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal funds.

The Village council members will be reviewing the 5 Year Recreation Plan for approval.  They have asked for comments from the public - please review and send any questions or comments to the clerk at clerk@villageofrichland.org or mail responses to P.O. Box 1, Richland, MI 49083.

Richland Community Hall

The Community Hall is available for rent. Consider renting the Community Hall for graduation parties, bridal showers, baby showers, family celebrations, business meetings, weddings, wedding receptions, concerts, dance recitals, or other events.  The maximum capacity is 80.

Don’t be left out. Donors are still welcome and needed and urged to help the project over the finish line. Unexpected architectural upgrades and engineering needs have stretched the original budget. Those wanting to help are urged to do so soon and are reminded that donations are fully tax deductible. Move In Date -- May 1st

 

The estimated completion date has been set back a month due to some unexpected architectural upgrades and engineering needs.  A number of changes had to be made as work progressed and were best done while the building was opened up and access was available.  As you can see, the crew has been hard at work to complete the building.  Hickory Builders are being extremely thorough and conscientious, and maintaining very high levels of quality.

Ceiling
Workers have installed the ceiling; painting is expected to begin next week.  Volunteers from Gull Lake Rotary and residents of the Village have been hard at work painting the trim.

Progress update

Hickory Builders work is on schedule. All electrical and plumbing are roughed in, framing is complete, insulation is installed, and drywall work is underway. All on schedule for an April 1 completion date.

Prior major work completed is as follows:

Chimney removed

Old drop ceiling removed

Damaged ceilings in front of building removed

All basement exterior entrances sealed and back-filled

Old ramp removed

Old wells (2) sealed and back-filled

Foundation repaired

Barrier free ramp completed
